Alexa Dress (Black)

Alexa Dress (Black)
The Alexa Dress was inspired by your boyfriend's relaxed oxford shirt and named for one of our favorite style icons, Alexa Chung. We followed Alexa's lead on this number- take equal parts refined lady and cool tomboy and mix them up for an effortless stylish result. The dress features fabric that expresses the moodiness of the coming winter, but accented with vibrant jewel tones colorway for a quick pick me up. It's the dress every girl needs in her wardrobe- the piece that transitions seamlessly from day to night with infinite styling possibilities. It pairs just as easily with your distressed moto boots as your favorite pair of heels. Flattering on all shapes and sizes, this dress is a must have for the fall.

The collar dress is inspired by the classic cut of a blazer. The blazer is a very chic, streamlined and multifunctional piece that always pulls together the look. The look morphs into something that is sleek, and cool. The refined look of the blazer inspired me to create a dress that would emulate that look and feeling while being just as chic and just as classic as a regular blazer. Thus, I came up with the collar dress. However, to give it a unique twist, I placed the collar on the back of the dress, rather than the front, to emphasize the back more. The dress is simple on the front, so to have the detail on the back is a bit unexpected.

Tent Dress
I created the Tent dress because I wanted to construct a dress that was really easy to throw on. I wanted the dress to be incredibly flattering. I was inspired by the idea of creating structure and volume in a garment. Designing the dress with a raglan neckline and sleeves opened up the silhouette so it is slimming to any figure. Using an A-Line cut I was able to craft a special shape in the garment that would enhance many different body types. I felt that through simplifying the design and adding structure to key areas I could achieve a universally flattering silhouette. Because of the streamlined design the dress can be styled and accessorized to fit anyone's style. I have one of my own and I wear it every week, I can't get enough of it!

Bella dress was inspired by my obsession with architecture. During my travels around the world, I was always fascinated by the structures of the various cities I've visited. Architecture is really an anthropological reflection, structures that help gives us a better understanding of the culture and their people. In my musings, I was most intrigued in Barcelona by the magnificent influence that Antoni Gaudi had on this city. Most building structures use rectilinear lines but Gaudi used natural lines, lines of the human body, curves to produce jaw-dropping skyscrapers as La Segrada Familia. And hence became the theme of my FW12 collection, arches. Arch cutouts seen in the back of the dresses and coats.
